Job summary

EDGE, based in Abu Dhabi, seeks a Senior Engineer – Composite Materials to lead the design, analysis, and qualification of advanced composite structures for next-generation solid rocket motor systems.

You will drive manufacturing processes (filament winding, hand lay-up, AFP/ATL), perform FEA using Abaqus/Nastran/ANSYS, and collaborate with propulsion, thermal, mechanical, and quality teams to advance propulsion hardware from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace/ mechanical/ materials/ polymer engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in composite structures engineering in aerospace/defense/space environments.
• Hands-on experience with filament winding, hand lay-up, AFP, ATL, and tape winding.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and structural analysis of composites for solid rocket motors and related components.
• Develop and qualify manufacturing processes including filament winding, hand lay-up, AFP/ATL, and tape winding.
• Perform FEA/CLT to validate designs and establish margins.
• Support propulsion system integration and material qualification activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful development and integration.
