Job summary
LONGi Solar in Dubai seeks a Renewable Solar Technical Engineer to bridge advanced PV module technology with utility-scale project design. You will act as the technical authority for next-generation modules while sizing, evaluating, and integrating Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The role blends rigorous engineering, data-driven LCOE modeling, and direct client consultation, delivering technical solutions to developers and EPCs while ensuring grid compliance and optimal system performance
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of engineering experience in utility-scale solar PV design.
- Strong knowledge of BESS and PV integration.
- Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and grid codes.
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct energy yield assessments and utility-scale PV design analysis.
- Evaluate cell architectures and optimize layouts for hot climates and soiling.
- Size inverters, BOS, and string configurations for plant performance.
- Assess BESS capacity, RTE, and SoC profiles for storage integration.
- Support solar-plus-storage hybrid configurations and EMS integration.
- Ensure grid compliance and help prepare technical proposals.
- Develop LCOE models comparing technology options.
- Present findings to executives, developers, and EPCs.
- Address technical queries during tenders and RFPs.
