Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our clients team. The role involves designing developing and optimizing solar systems for industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in solar design software strong technical knowledge of renewable energy systems and the ability to deliver cost-effective safe and efficient solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design solar systems (on-grid off-grid and hybrid) according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct site assessments shading analysis and feasibility studies.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings layouts and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
• Size modules inverters cables and protection devices to ensure optimal system performance.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) technical proposals and cost estimates.
• Review and approve technical submittals and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
• Work closely with the project team contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
• Perform energy yield analysis using design software (e.g. Helioscope AutoCAD SketchUp).
• Support project commissioning testing and handover.
• Stay updated with the latest solar technologies regulations and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical Renewable Energy or related engineering field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in solar design and engineering.
• Proficiency in solar design tools (AutoCAD Helioscope etc.).
• Strong knowledge of international and local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with grid-connected and hybrid solar systems.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
