Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, seeks an experienced Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment (Site) to lead safety excellence on active project sites. You will drive a proactive safety culture, embed risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance across UAE standards and international best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in safety, health and environment roles with demonstrated site supervision and operational responsibilities.
• Proven track record conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations in construction, industrial, or similar environments.
• Hands-on experience in multicultural, site-based operational settings with diverse workforce management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement site-specific safety programs and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site inspections and audits to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop, implement, and monitor customized safety protocols and programs for site-specific needs.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with thorough documentation and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs to site personnel at all levels.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and GCC health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain organized safety documentation and reports for regulatory review.
