Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Advisor Safety, Health & Environment to develop and oversee safety programs across construction projects. You will work with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to ensure UAE labor law compliance and international standards, creating a culture of safety.

Responsibilities include policy development, risk assessments, site inspections, incident investigations, training, and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in safety, health and environment management within construction.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws and safety regulations.
• Proven expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Preferred: NEBOSH certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures aligned with UAE regulations and international best practices.
• Conduct hazard assessments and risk analyses on construction sites and recommend mitigations.
• Perform site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; document findings and implement corrective actions.
