Job summary

Gardinia Contracting in Dubai is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee landscape works on-site, from soft landscaping to irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with designs, specs and project timelines.

You will review drawings, coordinate with MEP and civil teams, supervise subcontractors, manage materials, and maintain daily site records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of site engineering experience in landscape/softscape and hardscape projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC region.
• Knowledge of landscape construction methods, region-appropriate plant species, irrigation design (drip/sprinkler), and hardscape specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day landscape construction activities on-site, including hardscaping and softscaping.
• Review landscape drawings, shop drawings and specs; coordinate with design and consultant teams to resolve queries.
• Plan, schedule and monitor work progress against the project timeline; report delays and propose recovery.
• Coordinate irrigation system installation, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure materials meet specifications and conduct inspections.
• Supervise subcontractors and labor; allocate resources across landscape zones.
• Perform quality checks and close snags/NCRs; maintain site records.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site safety protocols.
• Coordinate with MEP, civil and other trade teams to avoid clashes.

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible to oversee and manage the execution of landscape works on-site, ensuring construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines, from soft/hard landscaping to irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day landscape construction activities on-site, including hardscaping (paving, kerbs, pergolas, water features) and softscaping (planting, turfing, soil preparation)
• Review and interpret landscape drawings, shop drawings, and specifications; coordinate with design and consultant teams to resolve site queries
• Plan, schedule, and monitor work progress against the project timeline; report delays and propose recovery measures
• Coordinate irrigation system installation, testing, and commissioning
• Ensure materials (soil, plants, pavers, irrigation components) meet approved specifications; conduct material inspections and approvals
• Supervise subcontractors and labor teams; allocate resources efficiently across landscape zones
• Conduct quality checks and inspections at each stage of landscape works; raise and close snags/NCRs
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site safety protocols during all landscape operations
• Maintain accurate site records: daily reports, material reconciliation, progress photographs, and as-built documentation
• Coordinate with MEP, civil, and other trade teams to avoid clashes and ensure integrated execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, Horticulture, or related field
• 3–7 years of relevant site engineering experience in landscape/softscape and hardscape projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC region
• Knowledge of landscape construction methods, plant species suitable for the region, irrigation system design (drip/sprinkler), and hardscape material specifications
