Job summary

Azizi Developments is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the landscape and swimming pool technical function in Dubai. You will ensure designs, drawings, and documentation are accurate, buildable, and compliant with UAE regulations while guiding a multi-disciplinary team including BIM resources.

The role requires a Civil/Landscape Engineering or related degree with 10+ years in landscape/pool projects and 3–5 years in a technical management capacity. UAE contracting experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Landscape Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years in landscape and swimming pool projects, including 3–5 years in a technical management role.
• Experience with UAE contracting firms and regulatory approvals.
• Strong BIM software knowledge and coordination workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical department for landscape and swimming pool construction from design to execution.
• Review and approve technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction details.
• Coordinate with design consultants, architects and MEP teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary technical team including BIM coordinators.
• Oversee BIM modeling and coordination across landscape, pool, MEP and structural models.

As a Technical Manager, you will be leading the technical function for landscape and swimming pool projects, ensuring designs, drawings, and technical documentation are accurate, buildable, and compliant with UAE regulations and client specifications, while managing a multidisciplinary technical team including BIM resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical department for landscape and swimming pool construction projects from design review through execution
• Review, validate, and approve technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction details prior to site issue
• Coordinate with design consultants, architects, and MEP teams to resolve technical discrepancies
• Manage and mentor a team of technical engineers, draftsmen, and BIM coordinators/modelers
• Allocate workload across the technical team based on project priorities and deadlines
• Oversee BIM modeling and coordination for landscape and swimming pool scopes (hardscape, softscape, pool mechanical/hydraulics, irrigation)
• Ensure clash detection and coordination between landscape, pool, and MEP/structural BIM models
• Ensure landscape and swimming pool works meet approved specifications, international standards, and UAE pool safety codes
• Review contractor/subcontractor submittals, material specifications, and method statements for landscape and pool works

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Landscape Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in landscape and swimming pool projects, with at least 3-5 years in a technical management role
• Proven experience within a contracting firm in the UAE
• Strong working knowledge of BIM software (Revit, Navisworks) and coordination workflows
• Sound knowledge of UAE regulatory and municipal approval processes for landscape/pool works
• Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing technical/BIM teams
