Job summary

Dar, founding member of the Sidara group, seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to supervise construction, review shop drawings, and ensure quality on site in Dubai.

You will lead inspectors, coordinate BIM processes with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, review method statements, and apply 8+ years of civil experience in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• BIM qualification preferred and hands-on BIM experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with reviewing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Site supervision and quality control.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• 8+ years in civil engineering with BIM expertise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Civil Engineer/Resident Engineer in supervising execution of technical functions.
• Review shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Visit the site regularly to verify work, quality, progress and conflicts; propose changes.
• Lead Inspectors and Surveyors during construction and implementation.
• Review contractor progress; monitor site work, manpower and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Civil Engineer/Resident Engineer in supervising and controlling the execution of technical functions of the project.
• Review shop drawings, as-built drawings.
• Visit work site regularly to check and verify ongoing works, quality, progress, problems or conflicts and recommends appropriate changes.
• Lead/Supervise Inspectors and Surveyors during construction & implementation stage.
• Review the contractor’s progress; monitor site work and Contractor’s manpower and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field background, preferably coupled with a BIM qualification.
• Strong hands-on experience with BIM processes and software, including: Revit, AutoCAD & Navisworks.
• Proven experience in Reviewing shop drawings, Reviewing as-built drawings, Preparing and reviewing method statements
• Site supervision and quality control
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Minimum of 8 years in civil engineering and industry knowledge.
• Expertise in BIM software and tools.
