Job summary

Dar, the founding member of the Sidara group, is an international multidisciplinary consultancy seeking a Land Surveyor in Dubai to conduct topographic and construction surveys on major projects. You will establish control points, verify alignments, and prepare detailed survey reports alongside engineers and contractors.

With 8+ years of experience, you will operate total stations, GPS/GNSS, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with local standards and HSE regulations throughout the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Land Surveyor on construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
• Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure developments is preferred.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and survey standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, control, and construction surveys in accordance with project requirements.
• Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates.
• Perform setting out of buildings, roads, utilities, structures, and other project elements based on approved drawings.
• Verify horizontal and vertical alignment, levels, dimensions, and locations of construction works.
• Carry out as-built surveys and prepare accurate as-built drawings and survey reports.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, digital levels, and laser equipment.
• Review survey data and ensure accuracy before construction activities commence.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants to resolve survey-related issues.
• Maintain accurate survey records, field notes, calculations, and documentation.
• Assist in quantity measurements and earthwork calculations where required.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority requirements, quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Report discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings and recommend corrective actions.
