Job summary

CNQC MIDDLE EAST CONTRACTING LLC is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to supervise daily construction, interpret drawings, and coordinate with project teams to meet milestones. You will inspect works for quality, manage site documentation, and ensure safety and compliance with specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 3–5+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Job description

Site Supervision

• Supervise daily construction activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.
• Inspect construction works, monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
• Monitor daily site progress, prepare progress reports and coordinate with the project team to achieve project milestones.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and project managers to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project execution.

Drawing Interpretation

• Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure accurate implementation on site.
• Assist with site setting out, verify dimensions and levels, and inspect completed works for compliance with design requirements.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings, specifications and site conditions and report them for timely resolution.
• Verify construction materials and ensure they meet project specifications and quality requirements before installation.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to support efficient construction activities.
• Maintain daily site reports, inspection records, work progress reports and other project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safety regulations, and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in inspections, snagging, testing, commissioning and handover activities to ensure successful project completion.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience

3–5+ years of proven experience as a Civil Site Engineer.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and interpreting engineering and construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of site supervision, RCC works, structural works, finishing works, and construction methods.
• Experience in quality control (QA/QC), site inspections, and project execution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is an advantage.
• Familiarity with construction standards, building codes, and HSE regulations.
