Job summary

Dar, a leading international multidisciplinary consulting organization, seeks an experienced planner to prepare and manage project schedules for proposals and contracts. You will review and streamline planning, establish WBS, and coordinate with Project Managers to ensure on-time delivery across major projects in engineering and construction.

The role requires extensive experience in project control, planning processes, and contract administration, with strong MS Office skills and a solid civil

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar.
• Relevant experience in project control/planning process and contract administration.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Planning and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations and confirm the correct scope of work.
• Review planning and scheduling to ensure activities are planned, resourced and completed.
• Develop project codes of accounts and WBS; recommend modifications for new work items.
• Check and review methods and sequence of construction operations with the Project Manager.
• Establish methods for determining activity durations within disciplines.
• Identify critical-path activities and support inter-discipline requirements.
• Review schedule data and acquire information to complete work logics between disciplines.
• Identify, analyze and monitor schedule deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Develop and write monthly schedule commentary and Critical Items Action Report.
• Prepare and develop the master schedule and WBS for each project.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify areas of concern.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Responsibilities

• To prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations as requested and checks and confirms that the correct scope of work is reflected on assigned schedules.
• Review planning and scheduling of work to ensure that activities are effectively planned, resourced and completed.
• Develops specific project codes of accounts and work breakdown structures, and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions for new work items assigned.
• Check and review the most appropriate method and sequence of construction operations prepared by the Planning Engineer for a particular project, in conjunction with the Project Manager.
• Establishes and implements methods for determining activity durations within assigned disciplines or specialties.
• Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialties and identifies significant activities supporting inter- discipline requirements and identifies critical path for discipline or specialty work activities.
• Reviews schedule data, identifies and acquires information needed to complete work logics to interface between assigned disciplines, specialties and/or projects.
• Identifies, analyzes and monitors schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including contractor submittals and recommends corrective action/work-around solutions for project considerations.
• Develops and writes the schedule commentary that appears in the monthly progress and similar reports. Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule and prepares and presents the Critical Items Action Report.
• Prepare and develop the master schedule for construction projects and the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for each project.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify areas of concern.
• Perform any other jobs as may be assigned by the superiors.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience with Bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering or similar.
• Relevant experience in project control/planning process, and contract administration obtained through wide exposure to major projects like- airport, building, infrastructure and more.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Planning and project management skills.
