Role Context
The Service Advisor - Heavy Trucks will act as the main link between customers and the workshop team within FAMCO's Commercial Vehicles Aftersales division. The role requires accurate understanding of customer requirements, clear communication with technicians and supervisors, proactive work‑in‑progress follow‑up, and strong attention to customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will help maximize vehicle uptime, support service revenue, improve customer loyalty, and deliver a smooth heavy‑duty truck aftersales experience in Dubai's competitive commercial transport sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for heavy‑duty truck customers throughout the full service and repair journey.
- Receive customer vehicles, understand service requirements, and capture concerns accurately.
- Prepare job cards, repair estimates, service documentation, and customer approval records with high accuracy.
- Coordinate with workshop supervisors, technicians, and parts teams to support efficient repair flow and timely vehicle delivery.
- Monitor work‑in‑progress and keep customers updated on repair status, expected completion time, delays, and additional requirements.
- Obtain customer approvals for extra repairs, replacement, additional labour, or service recommendations.
- Explain completed repairs, service value, costs, warranty details, and maintenance advice clearly during vehicle delivery.
- Support aftersales revenue by identifying opportunities for parts,, service contracts, preventive maintenance, and value‑added services.
- Maintain transparent communication with customers to build trust, confidence, and long‑term loyalty.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction, CSV performance, NPS improvement, and complaint reduction.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and coordinate timely resolutions with internal teams.
- Ensure all service activities follow dealership procedures, OEM standards, warranty rules, and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP or service systems, including estimates, approvals, job status, invoices, and customer notes.
- Work closely with FAMCO Commercial Vehicles teams to support workshop productivity and customer vehicle uptime.
- Promote a professional service culture focused on quality, responsiveness, accountability, and customer care.
Ideal Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience within an automotive dealership or commercial vehicle aftersales environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Advisor, preferably handling heavy‑duty trucks or commercial vehicles.
- Good technical understanding of heavy‑duty truck systems, service procedures, repair processes, and workshop workflows.
- Strong customer relationship management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to upsell service work, parts, labour, and service contracts.
- Experience working in a target‑driven environment with revenue, customer satisfaction, and service quality goals.
- Ability to manage multiple customer cases, repair jobs, approvals, and follow‑ups in a fast‑paced workshop setting.
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with service, workshop, parts, and operations teams.
- Good problem‑solving ability with a calm and practical approach to customer concerns.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred, and MS Office tools.
- Valid UAE driving license is required.
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction, vehicle, quality service delivery, and professional aftersales standards.
