Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in the financial services industry in marketing and credit functions.
• Strong credit appraisal and financial analysis skills; awareness of market trends.
• Knowledge of internal banking processes and banking products including trade, cash management and treasury.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate marketing of products and services to clients within the portfolio to maximise revenue.
• Develop, enhance and maintain relationships with existing and new clients to meet revenue/profit targets.
• Prepare relationship plans for customers and high-priority prospects and implement structured calling programs.
• Keep up to date with industry and economic indicators.
• Monitor customer account activity and early warning indicators to identify potential risk deterioration.
• Ensure provision of high quality and timely service to clients.
• Ensure all documentation for a credit proposal is complete and coordinates with credit admin to avoid security shortfalls.
• Verify/inspect hypothecated/pledged inventory, mortgaged assets to ensure minimum credit risk.
• Guide and coach junior team members on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain contact with competitor bank counterparts to identify risk-sharing opportunities.
