About the Role

The Senior Technician in the Machine Shop is a skilled machinist responsible for executing a diverse range of precise machining operations including grinding, drilling, tapping, reaming, extraction of broken screws, Heli-coil installation, milling, and other mechanical tasks on aircraft, engine parts, and various components. This role demands a strong adherence to technical manuals and engineering drawings, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance within the Aviation & Aero Engine MRO sector.

Your Responsibilities

• Machining Expertise (70%): Independently perform machining tasks using conventional machines such as horizontal and vertical lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, universal cylindrical grinders, tool & cutter grinders, and program and operate CNC machines including Doosan CNC VTL, Toshulin CNC VTL, Spinner CNC horizontal lathe, Deckel CNC milling, CNC EDM, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Quality Control (10%): Inspect and release completed work promptly, maintaining meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Safety and Compliance (10%): Adhere strictly to company quality, safety, health, and environmental regulations while actively participating in safety and environmental programs.
• Maintenance and Tool Calibration (5%): Maintain a clean work environment through housekeeping duties and oversee equipment maintenance and tool calibration to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Continuous Improvement (5%): Contribute proactively to process improvements, bring innovative ideas to enhance machining techniques, and pursue ongoing training opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Who we are looking for

We seek a highly experienced machinist with 3 to 5 years of progressive aviation industry experience and relevant vocational or technical education. The ideal candidate holds a D2 level authorization in machine shop practices and demonstrates proficiency in operating both conventional and CNC machines, interpreting complex technical manuals, and performing intricate mechanical tasks such as drilling, tapping, reaming, and Heli-coil installations.

Strong communication skills in English, a deep commitment to safety and compliance, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement are essential. Experience working on aircraft components, including machining landing gear lugs and bush installation, is highly desirable.
