Senior Subsea Engineer – Dubai, UAE

Salary: 20,000 – 32,000 AED monthly (market estimated)

Role Context

The Senior Subsea Engineer is responsible for delivering advanced subsea engineering solutions across detailed design, installation analysis, and project execution phases. This role supports offshore developments involving risers, pipelines, subsea structures, and umbilicals while ensuring engineering integrity, vendor coordination, and multidisciplinary project success across major oil and gas developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist engineering and analytical support for subsea systems including installation engineering and design code compliance
• Coordinate daily subsea engineering activities and schedule priorities under limited supervision
• Support tender engineering including document reviews, subcontractor documentation, CTR preparation, bid evaluation, and vendor selection
• Deliver procurement, design, and installation engineering support for subsea projects in a lead technical role
• Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, engineering analysis, and third‑party interface documentation
• Perform installation analysis for SURF projects using industry‑standard subsea engineering software
• Attend and prepare for project progress meetings, technical reviews, and departmental engineering discussions
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, legal requirements, and engineering procedures
• Train and mentor graduate engineers and junior subsea engineering staff
• Develop engineering solutions that satisfy client requirements, international codes, and project specifications
• Support operational engineers with project engineering and participate in offshore trips and site visits when required
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across subsea engineering functions
• Participate in internal, customer, and third‑party audits for engineering deliverables and vendor documents

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering
• 8 to 15 years of experience in oil and gas projects with major contractors or consultants, predominantly performing detailed design
• Strong experience in subsea equipment design and analysis including risers, pipelines, subsea structures, and umbilicals
• Familiarity with subsea design standards, international engineering codes, and installation engineering methods
• Experience with industry‑standard software such as Orcaflex, Pipelay, Offpipe, and Abaqus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple engineering deliverables
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong awareness of HSE, TQM, and cost‑conscious project execution
• Flexible to support site visits, fabrication yards, and offshore assignments when required
