Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd in Dubai seeks a Senior Subsea Engineer - Installation to lead subsea design, analysis, installation engineering, and project support for complex offshore SURF projects. The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

You will coordinate technical activities, support tender engineering, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety objectives. The ideal candidate has 8–15 years in oil and gas, strong knowledge of design codes, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering.
8–15 years of oil and gas experience with detailed design and subsea engineering.
Experience in subsea equipment design, risers, pipelines, and offshore systems.
Knowledge of SURF project requirements and offshore execution constraints.
Familiarity with OrcaFlex, Pipelay, Offpipe, Abaqus for design/installation analysis.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist knowledge in subsea design and installation engineering.
Coordinate daily subsea engineering activities and deliverables.
Support tender engineering, document review, and vendor selection.
Lead technical support for subsea projects, including procurement and design.
Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and engineering analyses.
Interface with subcontractors, clients, vendors, and third‑party reps.
Attend project meetings and contribute to engineering coordination sessions.
Perform installation analysis for SURF projects using standard software.
Ensure compliance with subsea codes, procedures, safety objectives, and client specs.
Mentor graduates and junior engineers, expanding technical knowledge.
