Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with proven experience working in a contracting firm within the UAE. You will be responsible for overseeing the structural aspects of construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with design specifications, and adherence to local regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure constructability.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and other engineering disciplines to resolve design-related issues.
• Supervise and support site execution teams during structural works (e.g., foundations, slabs, columns, beams, and other RC and steel structures).
• Conduct site inspections to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and standards.
• Review and verify structural shop drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS).
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, project specifications, and international codes (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocodes).
• Coordinate with QA / QC and safety teams to maintain quality and safety standards on site.
• Provide engineering support for temporary works, value engineering, and construction methodology proposals.
• Manage technical submittals, RFIs, and variation requests related to structural works.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the construction team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 10+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years in a contracting firm in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of structural systems in high-rise buildings, villas, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD); knowledge of Revit is a plus.
