Job summary

Howden in Dubai seeks an experienced insurance professional to manage SME accounts across property and casualty lines, serving as the primary contact for client communications. The role requires a strong UAE regulatory understanding and a focus on service delivery and client retention.

You will lead a team supporting day-to-day client needs, assist the business development team, and work toward profitable growth while strengthening client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of insurance experience, handling SME accounts.
• Strong understanding of general insurance products, UAE market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Placement and management of SME accounts for property and casualty lines.
• Lead a team to support day-to-day client requirements and assist the business development team.
• Strengthen and grow account relationships and manage client retention.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their business and culture.
• Consolidate and assist profitable growth of the client base within the region.
• Develop working relationships with insurers and negotiate commissions.
• Achieve renewal retentions per targets and prepare risk submissions.
