Job summary

AECOM is seeking a SH&E Advisor to assist with identifying SH&E requirements, ensuring compliance with local legislative obligations and project needs. The role involves daily field inspections, data reporting, and coordinating SH&E meetings to maintain a safe work environment across projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Engineering or related field with NEBOSH GC and at least 12 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety or related field and NEBOSH GC or equivalent.
Minimum 12+ years of experience in SH&E
Aldar approval is a plus

Responsibilities

Serve as the field/project point of contact for SH&E matters.
Identify AECOM, Project, and Legislative requirements and align stakeholder compliance.
Conduct daily inspections of contractor activities to ensure SH&E compliance.
Submit safety inspection reports and engage project leads for follow-up.
Coordinate and attend site SH&E meetings, including chairing and recording as needed.
Review risk mitigation docs such as JSA, risk assessments, and method statements.
Check compliance with permits-to-work and safe work practices.
Ensure maintenance and operation of safety equipment and welfare facilities.
Assist in incident investigations and implement preventative measures.
