Job summary

Power & Energy Distribution in Dubai is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer for Diesel Generators to drive sales through technical presentations, demonstrations, and customized solutions, ensuring smooth implementation and high customer satisfaction post-sale.

You will collaborate with internal teams on techno-commercial proposals, manage RFQs, and cultivate strong relationships with consultants, contractors and end-users, while monitoring market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of proven experience in technical sales or key account management.
• Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

The Senior Sales Engineer - Diesel Generators is accountable for driving sales opportunities through technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution designs, ensuring seamless implementation and customer satisfaction post-sale. S/He collaborates with internal teams to provide feedback, address customer needs, and identify upselling opportunities to enhance customer adoption and ROI.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Business Development: Identify high-value prospects, generate leads, and penetrate new target markets to meet or exceed annual sales quotas.
• Techno-Commercial Proposals: Design customized technical solutions and create commercial offers, technical submittals, compliance statements, and manage end-to-end RFQ / tender process.
• Client Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and end-users.
• Technical Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and articulate complex engineering solutions to both technical and non-technical clients.
• Negotiation: Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to close profitable deals while ensuring customer requirements are met.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant discipline).
• Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in technical sales, complex business development, or key account management.
• Technical Acumen: Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office.
• Valid UAE Driving License and familiarity with local market dynamics are typically required
