Senior Russian-Speaking Pre-Sales Engineer

Job summary

Axon seeks a high-energy pre-sales sales engineer in the United Arab Emirates, traveling up to 70% to engage leadership and end-users. You will master Axon technologies, lead technical presentations, and support sales teams with RFP/RFI responses and POC activities.

Required are 4+ years in pre-sales, SaaS experience, and strong technical writing. Public procurement in META and security basics are a plus; bilingual English/Russian is preferred, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) or 5+ years relevant experience.
• 4+ years customer facing pre-sales or consulting background.
• 3+ years of experience with public procurement in META.
• Experience selling SaaS based solutions.
• End User Compute or Cloud Computing experience preferred.
• Experience in networking, storage, virtualization or related technologies.
• Strong technical writing skills for RFPs/RFIs.
• Security knowledge basics (IPsec, InfoSec) helpful.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and storage devices.
• Ability to work independently with latitude for action within a team.
• Strong presentation skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience developing Statements of Work (SOW).
• Routing and switching knowledge; telecom and Internet tech basics.
• Virtualization and cloud tech knowledge; relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.).
• Experience with Law Enforcement tech solutions and public procurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Master Axon technologies and products.
• Lead business and technical presentations with executives and staff.
• Engage with CIOs, channel partners, and technical stakeholders.
• Set and manage customer expectations.
• Provide 1st-level technical pre-sales support.
• Navigate obstacles with creativity and speed.
• Build relationships with partners for growth.
• Position technology against competitors.
• Represent products and Axon values at events and conferences.
• Coordinate POC/Pilot logistics, assess requirements, customize tests.
• Improve technical documentation for customer use.
• Capture requested features and feedback to Product/Sales/Engineering.
• Develop Statements of Work for Professional Services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
