Job summary

Axon seeks a high-energy Pre-Sales Sales Engineer in the United Arab Emirates to accelerate sales initiatives across law enforcement and public safety markets. The role requires leading technical presentations, engaging CIOs and partners, and coordinating POC processes with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in pre-sales or consulting, strong technical writing, and experience with SaaS solutions, cloud, and networking. Travel up to 70% is expected within the region.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel.
• Fluent English and Russian.
• Assist Sales with presentations and analysis to enlarge customer portfolio.
• Training new employees.
• Documentation & verification for new Axon products.
• Assist Sales with commercial offer documentation.
• Educational background: Associates degree in Engineering or CS (or equivalent), or 5+ years relevant experience.
• Professional background: 4+ years customer facing pre-sales or consulting experience.
• 3+ years of public procurement experience in META.
• Experience selling SaaS-based solutions.
• Experience in End User Compute or Cloud Computing preferred.
• Experience in networking, storage, virtualization, or related technologies.
• Strong technical writing skills for RFPs/RFIs.
• Basic security-related knowledge.
• Basic hardware/OS/storage knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with latitude for action.
• Strong presentation skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in drafting Statements of Work (SOW).
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and Internet technologies.
• Basic virtualization and cloud knowledge.
• Network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+).
• Public procurement experience in Law Enforcement tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieve mastery of Axon technologies and products.
• Lead business and technical presentations to leadership and staff.
• Discuss technical concepts with CIOs and partners.
• Set and manage customer and team expectations.
• Provide first-level technical pre-sales support.
• Navigate obstacles creatively to progress deals.
• Build relationships with key partners for growth.
• Position Axon technology against competitors.
• Represent products and Axon values at events.
• Coordinate POC/Pilot logistics and tailor tests for prospects.
• Develop technical docs to aid product understanding.
• Collect feature requests and feed back to teams.
• Draft SOWs for Professional Services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
