Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer for a major roads project in Dubai. You will lead the delivery of infrastructure packages, supervise the site team, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and milestones.

The role requires on-site leadership, QMS and HSE focus, and strong coordination with authorities and clients. Responsibilities include reviewing programs and submittals, driving corrective actions, and managing variations with the commercial team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 20 years in infrastructure engineering.
• Experience managing large-scale roads/bridges projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and QA/QC.
• RTA/municipal approvals knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage delivery of infrastructure packages to meet time, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability targets.
• Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and milestones.
• Direct supervision team and ensure daily site inspections and quality standards.
• Maintain HSE compliance and implement risk controls.
• Identify and resolve technical and site issues to avoid delays.
• Represent the client in meetings, report progress and risks.
• Review programs, shop drawings, and submittals for timely approvals.
• Monitor progress against baseline and propose recovery actions.
• Manage variations, scope changes, and claims with input from the commercial team.
• Develop and monitor project management documents (PEP, QMP, HSP).
• Define KPIs and ensure staff performance aligns with standards.
• Conduct weekly coordination meetings and drive corrective actions.
