Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Senior Resident Engineer in Dubai to lead staff, oversee staking, testing and inspection, and ensure construction follows plans and specifications. You will familiarize with plans quickly to administer work and maintain documentation.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years in infrastructure, especially roads/bridges, with a PE license preferred, and willingness to travel and work on-site to deliver large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license is preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, focusing on large-scale roads, bridges and underpasses.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction methodologies and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the client's program or progress report and ensure contract compliance.
• Inspect workmanship and materials, approve shop drawings and oversee testing/inspection.
• Coordinate controls, perform layout checks, and manage project records and monthly reports.
• Review variation orders, time and cost related requests, and prepare final submittals.
• Ensure safety on site and liaise with client for approvals and payments.
• Travel to site as required and work on-site to lead staff and manage multiple projects.
