Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer for a UAE project. You will lead the staff, administer plans and specifications, and ensure the work is built to the required quality, safety, and schedule.

You will monitor progress, coordinate with clients, review shop drawings, and oversee testing and inspections. A civil engineering background and PE license are preferred for this senior role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• PE license preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience managing large-scale projects including roads, bridges and underpasses.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and quality control processes.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to handle budgets and schedules.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the client’s programme or progress report.
• Inspect workmanship and material.
• Review and approve shop drawings.
• Coordinate with clients and control of project costs.
• Prepare variation orders and monthly progress reports.
• Site safety monitoring and incident reporting.
