Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Roads in Abu Dhabi, UAE to supervise road and infrastructure construction works from site execution through inspection and quality control.

The role covers earthworks, pavement layers, asphalt, kerbs, footpaths, paving, road markings, surveying interfaces, and coordination with utility disciplines while supporting the Resident Engineer in maintaining construction quality, progress, safety, and technical compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of site supervision, inspection, and quality control.
• Relevant experience on road and infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with drawings, specs, ITPs, inspection procedures, and testing requirements.
• Experience coordinating road works with utilities and other disciplines.
• UAE infrastructure experience preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise road construction activities and verify compliance with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate daily construction activities across earthworks, asphalt, kerbs, and paving.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, submittals, RFIs, and proposals.
• Monitor progress, workmanship, safety, and adherence to project documentation.
• Coordinate with surveyors for setting out, levels, and road profiles.
• Maintain records of inspections and site activities.
• Collaborate with authorities and stakeholders to resolve technical matters.
• Support Resident Engineer in supervising road construction.
