Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer for a UAE project. You will lead staff, ensure staking, testing and inspection accuracy, and administer work per plans and specs. Expect on-site leadership, rapid familiarization with drawings, and supervision of field personnel.

You will monitor progress, ensure contract compliance, inspect workmanship, and coordinate with clients. Strong PM, budget control, and safety reporting are essential, with travel as required for project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 20+ years of infrastructure engineering experience on large-scale projects.
• PE license preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the client’s programme or progress report.
• Inspect workmanship and material to ensure quality.
• Review and approve the client’s shop drawings.
• Coordinate controls and layout checks for the project.
• Prepare monthly progress and safety reports.
