Job summary

SEGULA Technologies seeks a seasoned Procurement Category Buyer in the UAE to drive sourcing strategies across security systems, IT hardware/software, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and control systems for major railway infrastructure projects. You will manage RFIs/RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contractual negotiations, ensuring timely delivery and compliance across cross-functional teams.

The role requires a minimum of five years in procurement, strong analytics, and ERP/SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Procurement Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or category buying experience.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, tendering, and contract negotiation.
• Railway infrastructure or related technical project procurement experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for railway-related systems and technologies.
• Manage RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and competitive tendering processes.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, service agreements, and delivery schedules.
• Support purchase order preparation and processing.
• Coordinate procurement documentation for tenders and ongoing projects.
• Drive initiatives to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Identify supplier onboarding, performance monitoring and risk mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Cybersecurity teams.
