Job summary

A leading engineering and infrastructure organization in the UAE is seeking a Senior Engineer Procurement to manage end-to-end procurement activities for engineering materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of procurement experience in infrastructure utilities, power, energy, or large-scale construction projects within the UAE or GCC. Responsibilities include managing procurement processes, leading supplier negotiations, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations while supporting major projects.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of procurement experience in UAE or GCC.
• Strong background in infrastructure utilities, power, water, oil & gas or construction sectors.
• Experience handling technical procurement for large-scale projects.
• Proven expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Familiarity with UAE market suppliers and procurement regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes for engineering materials, MEP systems, mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, BOQs and project requirements.
• Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs in line with UAE procurement standards.
• Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations.
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, procurement policies and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely material delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships.
• Support contract administration, variations and claims management.
• Maintain procurement documentation and reporting systems.

This role is ideal for procurement professionals with strong technical engineering knowledge and hands‑on experience in infrastructure utilities, power, energy or large‑scale construction projects within the UAE or GCC region.

Role Overview

The Senior Engineer Procurement will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement activities for engineering materials, equipment and technical services. The role requires close coordination with engineering project management and commercial teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective project delivery. This position plays a critical role in supporting major infrastructure and utility projects across the UAE.
