Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Senior Projects Engineer with a strong focus on Civil and Precast works in the UAE. You will manage precast erection activities, coordinate between design, production, QA/QC, and site teams, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of projects.

The role requires a Bachelor in Civil Engineering, 10+ years construction experience (8+ years UAE precast), and strong communication skills in English (Arabic preferred). Joining within 30 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.

• Ability to read and interpret structural, shop and erection drawings.

Salary: Up to AED 20,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Projects Engineer – Civil with strong hands‑on experience in precast concrete erection and construction projects in the UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating precast erection activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

The candidate must be technically strong, self‑motivated, computer-literate, and capable of communicating and resolving technical matters effectively with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise precast concrete erection activities from mobilization through completion and handover.
• Plan and coordinate erection sequences for precast elements including columns, beams, wall panels, slabs, stairs and other structural elements.
• Review and interpret IFC, structural, shop, fabrication and erection drawings.
• Coordinate with the design, production, logistics, QA/QC and site teams to ensure timely delivery and erection of precast elements.
• Verify site readiness, access, storage areas, lifting arrangements and installation requirements before erection.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, subcontractors and site teams for safe and efficient lifting and installation.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, positioning, fixing, connections and tolerances of precast elements.
• Monitor daily and weekly project progress against the approved construction programme.
• Prepare progress updates and identify delays, technical constraints and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with the Consultant and Main Contractor regarding technical issues, inspections, approvals and project requirements.
• Attend technical, progress and coordination meetings with consultants, clients and main contractors.
• Review method statements, inspection requests, technical submissions and related project documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, approvals, NCRs, corrective actions and quality-related issues.
• Ensure all erection activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and project requirements.
• Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure safe lifting, rigging, working-at-height and erection practices.
• Monitor manpower, cranes, lifting equipment, materials and other resources required for project execution.
• Identify technical problems at site and provide practical engineering solutions in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure work is completed as per approved programme and quality requirements.
• Monitor project productivity, resource utilization and progress.
• Coordinate snagging, rectification, final inspections and handover activities.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, inspections, progress reports, technical correspondence and project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and site teams.
• Support the Project Manager in achieving project milestones, quality objectives, cost control and timely completion.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering - Mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of overall construction experience.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on UAE experience specifically in precast concrete erection - Mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of precast construction and erection methodologies.
• Proven experience in coordinating with Consultants and Main Contractors.
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural, shop and erection drawings.
• Knowledge of lifting, transportation, handling, positioning and installation of precast elements.
• Good understanding of QA/QC requirements and HSE procedures related to precast erection.
• Strong project coordination, planning and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Arabic‑speaking is preferred but not essential.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and project documentation systems.
• Primavera P6 / MS Project knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence - Mandatory.
• Must have own transportation / ability to commute independently between residence and workplace.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, responsible and capable of working independently under project deadlines.
• Must be available to join within 30 days from the date of confirmation.
