Job summary

People Talento places a Project Engineer with a leading UAE construction/engineering company in Sharjah. The role involves bridging design intent and on-site execution, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and procurement, and ensuring quality and safety on site.

You will review drawings, raise RFIs, prepare ITPs, and maintain project documentation while supporting the Project Manager on progress reporting and meetings. Fluency in English is required; Arabic or Hindi is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of engineering/construction project execution experience.
• Solid ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Fluent English required; Hindi or Arabic a bonus, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Flag design discrepancies and raise RFIs to consultants.
• Prepare method statements and ITPs for site activities.
• Monitor work progress on site and conduct inspections and quality checks.

On behalf of our client, a leading construction/engineering company in the UAE, we're looking for a Project Engineer to be the technical backbone of a growing site team.

You'll work closely under the Project Manager, bridging the gap between design intent and what actually gets built on site.

What you'll own - day-to-day technical execution:

Technical & Design Coordination

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings
• Flag design discrepancies and raise RFIs (requests for information) to consultants
• Prepare and review method statements and inspection & test plans (ITPs)

Site Execution & Quality

• Daily site presence to monitor work progress against drawings and specs
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and snag/defect tracking
• Ensure work complies with approved method statements and safety procedures

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise daily with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and the site team
• Coordinate material deliveries, submittals, and approvals with procurement
• Support the Project Manager in progress reporting and meetings

Documentation

• Maintain site records, daily reports, inspection logs, and as-built documentation
• Track project documentation through to handover and closeout

Desired Candidate Profile

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in engineering/construction project execution
• Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software
• Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications independently
• Strong coordination and communication skills across consultants, contractors, and site teams
• English fluency required; Hindi or Arabic is a bonus, not a must
