Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Civil to join our construction team in the UAE. You will supervise civil works, review drawings and BOQs, coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensure works align with drawings, specs and schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with 3–7 years of hands-on site experience, proficient in AutoCAD, and capable of leading multiple site activities while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at site.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, method statements, and specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members.
• Monitor project progress against the approved construction schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure required quality standards are maintained.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, site records, inspection requests, and related documentation.
• Coordinate material requirements according to the project schedule.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
• Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and company requirements.
• Assist with quantity measurements, BOQ verification, variations, and material reconciliation.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates regarding progress and site requirements.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and required approvals.
• Support snagging, project handover, and completion activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
2. 3–7 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project execution.
3. Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and site practices.
4. Good knowledge of project execution and site operations.
5. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
6. Experience coordinating subcontractors and construction site activities.
7. Knowledge of quality-control and construction-safety requirements.
8. Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
9. Proficiency in AutoCAD.
10. Ability to independently coordinate multiple site activities.
