Responsibilities

  • Source civil construction materials incl. concrete, reinforcement steel, finishing materials, and other project-specific products.
  • Identify suitable subcontractors for civil and related work packages.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable database of qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Conduct supplier and subcontractor prequalification based on capability, strength, quality, delivery, and reputation.
  • Review drawings, BOQ, specs, and material requirements before procurement.
  • Prepare RFQs for civil materials and subcontract packages.
  • Issue RFQs to approved vendors.
  • Analyze quotations against quantities, specs, dates, and terms.
  • Prepare technical and commercial comparative statements.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and project teams for clarifications.
  • Support technical bid evaluation ensuring supplier submissions meet requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, delivery schedules, and terms.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce procurement cost without compromising quality.
  • Support value engineering and evaluate alternative materials.
  • Prepare procurement recommendations based on compliance, value, and delivery.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to align with priorities.
  • Work with Planning Engineers to align schedules with construction.
  • Coordinate with site teams for delivery dates and storage readiness.
  • Track long-lead and critical material requirements.
  • Follow up with suppliers to prevent late deliveries.
  • Monitor procurement status through project execution.
  • Escalate risks and mitigation actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source civil construction materials including concrete, reinforcement steel, finishing materials, and other project-specific building products.
  • Identify suitable subcontractors for civil and related construction work packages.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable database of qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
