Job summary

Massar Business Solutions is seeking a proactive Planning Engineer with a minimum of 10 years in construction scheduling to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. You will develop, monitor, and update project plans using Primavera P6, build baselines, WBS, look-ahead schedules, and progress reports, while coordinating with PMs, site engineers, and subcontractors.

The role demands strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, plus expertise in EOT, recovery plans, and cost/control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction industry.
• Mandatory proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle stages, construction sequencing, and scheduling techniques.
• Experience in preparing EOT claims, delay analysis reports, and recovery programs.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programs, work breakdown structures (WBS), look-ahead schedules, and periodic progress updates.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to obtain accurate planning inputs.
• Identify critical path activities, potential risks, and delays; recommend mitigation measures and recovery plans.
• Monitor project performance against approved schedules and generate weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Conduct delay analysis and assist in the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Prepare resource histograms, cash flow forecasts, and productivity analysis reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and version control of planning records.
