Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join the Planning team. The role requires 8–10 years of project planning and scheduling experience, with consultancy background and strong Primavera P6 skills.

You will develop programmes, monitor progress, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with approved timelines. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, robust analytical abilities, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Consultancy experience is mandatory/preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
• Good understanding of project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
• Experience in preparing baseline programmes, schedule updates and progress reports.
• Ability to analyse schedule deviations delays and project risks.
• Strong communication, analytical and coordination skills.
• Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.
• Candidates should be available to join within 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and planning programmes
• Review baseline programmes schedule updates and revised programmes
• Monitor actual project progress against planned progress and identify deviations
• Track critical activities milestones and project deliverables
• Identify schedule delays risks and potential areas of slippage and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare weekly monthly progress reports and planning presentations
• Review look-ahead programmes and monitor short-term project activities
• Review the impact of changes delays and variations on project schedules
• Guide in developing recovery programmes and mitigation plans where required
• Monitor project performance against approved baseline schedules
• Provide regular updates to management regarding project progress delays and forecast completion dates
• Maintain accurate planning records schedules and supporting documentation
