Job summary

JAZAL ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Planning Specialist to lead project scheduling using Primavera P6 and MS Project. The role focuses on baseline programs, look-ahead planning, and recovery schedules to keep large civil and infrastructure projects on track.

You will coordinate with PMs, site engineers, and subcontractors, prepare progress reports, monitor progress, analyze delays, and support extension-of-time claims as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of planning experience in civil construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project for schedule development and tracking.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, progress monitoring, and delay analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and project reporting.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
• Oil & Gas or ADNOC project experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Prepare baseline programmes, detailed work schedules, look-ahead plans and recovery schedules.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays and critical activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and other departments to ensure timely project execution.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves and progress presentations.
• Track manpower, equipment, materials against project requirements.
• Identify potential scheduling risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Review project progress and assist in preparing extension-of-time claims and delay analysis when required.
• Ensure planning activities align with project milestones, contractual requirements and construction priorities.
