Job summary

Royal Infra Contracting LLC is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead planning, scheduling, and progress control across UAE infrastructure projects. You will own planning from tender through completion, developing and maintaining baseline programmes, analyzing delays, and producing data-driven insights via Power BI dashboards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 10+ years of UAE planning experience, with a strong focus on CPM scheduling, EVM, and EOT claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of planning experience, including UAE infrastructure projects.
• Lead planning role experience in contracting environments.
• Experience with UAE Sharjah projects (SRTA/SEWA/Sharjah Municipality) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning function for large infrastructure projects from tender to completion.
• Develop baseline programmes in Primavera P6 aligned with contract requirements.
• Define WBS, activity logic, durations, and resource/cost loading.
• Submit baseline/revised programmes for Client/Consultant approval.
• Monitor progress against baseline, track critical paths, and suggest recovery plans.
• Carry out delay analysis (Time Impact, As-Planned vs As-Built) and EOT claims.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for KPIs, progress, and forecasts.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and look-ahead schedules.
• Review subcontractor programmes for alignment with master schedule.

As a Senior Planning Engineer, lead project planning, scheduling, and progress control across our infrastructure projects in the UAE. You will own the planning function from tender stage to completion: developing and controlling baseline programmes, analysing delays, preparing EOT claims, and giving senior management clear, data-driven insight through Power BI dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning function for large or multiple infrastructure projects, from tender stage to completion.
• Develop detailed baseline programmes in Primavera P6 in line with contract requirements, the scope of work, and construction methodology.
• Define the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity logic, durations, and resource and cost loading.
• Submit baseline and revised programmes for approval by the Client or Consultant, and handle review comments.
• Monitor progress against the baseline, track critical and near-critical paths, and recommend recovery plans when delays arise.
• Carry out delay analysis (Time Impact Analysis, As-Planned vs As-Built, Windows Analysis) and prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims with the commercial team.
• Assess the time impact of variations and change orders.
• Analyse earned value (EVM: SPI, CPI) and cash flow forecasts.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that present project KPIs, progress, and forecasts to senior management.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and S-curves.
• Review subcontractor programmes to confirm they align with the master schedule.
• Support interim payment applications with progress measurement.
• Represent the planning function in Client, Consultant, and authority progress meetings.
• Mentor Planning Engineers and set planning standards and procedures for the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of planning experience, including at least 5 years on UAE infrastructure projects in a lead planning role.
• Experience with a contracting company is required.
• Experience on Sharjah projects (e.g. SRTA, SEWA, Sharjah Municipality) is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, and other infrastructure works.
• Proven experience in delay analysis and EOT claim preparation.
• Hands‑on experience building Power BI dashboards for project reporting.
• Strong command of Power BI for data modelling, visualisation, and interactive dashboards.
• Strong command of CPM scheduling, resource loading, earned value, and progress measurement.
