Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, the fully integrated construction powerhouse behind Azizi Developments, seeks a Senior Planning Engineer in Dubai to lead planning, scheduling and project controls for high-rise projects.

You will develop baselines in Primavera P6, create S-curves, power BI dashboards and deliver data-driven insights to senior management and clients.

This role requires 10+ years of UAE contracting experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and strong knowledge of FIDIC and delay analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of planning/scheduling experience in contracting firms.
• Proven track record on high-rise tower/building projects in the UAE.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (baseline development, loading, progress updates, schedule analysis).
• Strong knowledge of Power BI for dashboards and analytics.
• Solid understanding of FIDIC contract conditions in UAE construction.
• Experience in delay analysis methodologies (Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project baseline programmes and schedule revisions using Primavera P6.
• Prepare and monitor S-curves, Manpower Histograms, Look-Ahead Schedules, and Resource Deployment Plans.
• Track and report progress against the baseline, noting variances and critical path deviations.
• Conduct delay analysis and support EOT and TIA reports.
• Build interactive Power BI dashboards for project performance reporting.
• Coordinate with site teams, PMs, and subcontractors for data capture.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for management and clients.

As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for all planning, scheduling, and project controls functions within the contracting team. The role demands a hands-on professional with deep expertise in high-rise tower and building construction projects in the UAE, capable of driving schedule performance and delivering data-driven insights to senior management and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update project baseline programmes and schedule revisions using Primavera P6
• Prepare and monitor S-curves, Manpower Histograms, Look-Ahead Schedules, and Resource Deployment Plans
• Track and report project progress against the approved baseline, highlighting variances and critical path deviations
• Conduct delay analysis and support the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reports
• Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for project performance reporting and executive-level visibility
• Coordinate with site teams, project managers, and subcontractors to capture accurate and timely progress data
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal management and client/authority submissions
• Review and assess subcontractor programmes for compliance with the master schedule
• Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation measures proactively
• Support tender and pre-construction planning with programme inputs and methodology statements
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to programme submission and reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of planning/scheduling experience, with significant tenure in a contracting firm
• Proven track record on high-rise tower and building construction projects in the UAE
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 - baseline development, resource/cost loading, progress updates, and schedule analysis
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI - dashboard creation, data modelling, and project analytics
• Sound understanding of FIDIC contract conditions as applied in UAE construction
• Experience in delay analysis methodologies (Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis)
