Job summary

Gardinia Contracting seeks a Senior Landscape Architect to lead design, development, and execution of landscape packages for UAE residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will ensure designs are aesthetically distinctive and constructible within project timelines and budgets.

The role requires a strong UAE portfolio, 8–10 years in landscape architecture within a contracting environment, and deep knowledge of local regulations, plant selection, and irrigation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 8–10 years of UAE landscape architecture experience, including contracting firm exposure.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, plant species for arid climates, and irrigation best practices.
• Portfolio of UAE landscape projects (residential communities, parks, public realm, or mixed-use).

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual, schematic, and detailed design of landscape architecture packages for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Coordinate with architects, civil/MEP engineers, and consultants to integrate landscape design with overall project master plans.
• Review and approve landscape shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups from contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor landscape works progress, quality, and compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Prepare and review BOQs, technical specifications, and scope of work for landscape tenders and procurement.
• Liaise with local authorities for landscape design approvals and NOCs.
• Manage irrigation system design coordination, softscape/hardscape planning, and plant palette selection for UAE climate.
• Support project managers with landscape work scheduling, cost estimation, and value engineering.
• Resolve on-site design and construction issues in coordination with the contracting/execution team.
• Mentor junior architects and landscape design staff within the team.
• Ensure all landscape deliverables comply with company standards and local regulations.

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will be responsible to lead the design, development, and execution of landscape architecture projects across our real estate developments. The ideal candidate brings a strong portfolio of UAE-based landscape projects and hands‑on experience working within a contracting environment, ensuring designs are both aesthetically distinctive and constructible within project timelines and budgets.

• Coordinate with architects, civil/MEP engineers, and consultants to integrate landscape design with overall project master plans
• Review and approve landscape shop drawings, material submittals, and mock‑ups from contractors and subcontractors
• Conduct site inspections to monitor landscape works progress, quality, and compliance with approved designs and specifications
• Prepare and review BOQs, technical specifications, and scope of work for landscape tenders and procurement
• Liaise with local authorities (e.g., Dubai Municipality, relevant developer/master developer guidelines) for landscape design approvals and NOCs

• Resolve on‑site design and construction issues in coordination with the contracting/execution team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a significant portion in the UAE market
• Proven experience working within a contracting firm (not only consultancy), with strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, and site execution
• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed landscape projects in the UAE (residential communities, parks, public realm, or mixed‑use developments)
• Sound knowledge of UAE landscape regulations, plant species suited to arid climates, and irrigation best practices
