Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, the fully integrated construction arm behind Azizi Developments in Dubai, seeks an Agriculture Engineer to lead softscape planning and maintenance across residential and community projects in the UAE. You will ensure healthy plant growth, coordinate with irrigation and landscape teams, and uphold local standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of UAE landscaping experience, strong knowledge of regional flora, soil types, and climate-adapted planting, plus pest management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Engineering, Horticulture, or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in softscape/agriculture roles, preferably with a UAE contracting or landscaping firm.
• Strong knowledge of regional flora, soil types, and climate-adapted planting.
• Experience with pest and disease management programs.
• Familiarity with UAE landscaping standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee softscape execution — turf, shrubs, trees, and planting beds.
• Select plant species suited to UAE soil and climatic conditions.
• Conduct soil testing and recommend soil improvement/fertilization programs.
• Supervise planting, mulching, and post-planting maintenance schedules.
• Monitor plant health, pest/disease control, and irrigation adequacy in coordination with the Irrigation Engineer.
• Review landscape drawings and ensure agronomic feasibility of design.
• Prepare planting schedules, BOQs, and material specifications.
• Coordinate with landscape contractors and consultants on softscape quality.
• Ensure compliance with municipality greenery and landscaping guidelines.
• Train and guide site labor/gardening teams on best horticultural practices.
