Job summary

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is seeking an IT Specialist to deliver top-notch technical support across our luxury properties. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, set up IT equipment, and maintain secure, reliable systems to ensure guests enjoy a seamless experience.

The role requires 6-8 years of UAE supervisory IT experience, with a degree in CS/IT preferred. Hotel IT familiarity and certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/MCSA are aPlus.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of supervisory IT experience in the UAE
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is advantageous
• Experience with hotel or hospitality IT environments is a plus
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, hardware and software
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving in IT support
• Familiarity with hotel-specific applications and property management systems is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to drive initiatives forward

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced IT support to staff and guests for hardware, software and network issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with minimal disruption to operations
• Assist in setup and configuration of IT equipment and peripherals
• Respond to support tickets and document issues and resolutions
• Monitor and secure hotel IT networks (wired and wireless) and ensure connectivity
• Implement network security measures and conduct regular security audits
• Install and maintain servers, switches, routers and other devices
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve connectivity and performance issues
• Support project requirements, develop project plans and allocate resources
• Research and recommend new technologies to enhance IT capabilities
• Ensure deadlines are met and provide progress updates to Head of IT
• Educate staff on data security and best practices
