The Senior HVAC Technician plays an important role in keeping hotel climate-control and refrigeration equipment operating safely, efficiently, and consistently. Working across guest areas, back-of-house facilities, plant rooms, and refrigeration installations, the technician helps prevent equipment failures, maintain required temperature standards, control energy consumption, and ensure engineering systems support a comfortable hotel experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, inspect, and adjust hotel air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Service chillers, air handling units, fan coil units, split air conditioning systems, window air conditioning units, cold rooms, coolers, ice machines, extract fans, and related HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and operational faults and complete corrective repairs with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance according to engineering requirements and established operating procedures.
• Assist external chiller contractors during planned maintenance and provide accurate information regarding equipment condition and performance.
• Record daily chiller readings, cold room temperatures, and other required operating parameters.
• Verify that temperature settings and system operating conditions remain within approved limits.
• Monitor spare-parts availability for air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and identify replacement requirements before shortages affect maintenance activity.
• Inspect purchased HVAC and refrigeration materials to confirm suitability and quality before installation.
• Recommend practical improvements that can increase equipment efficiency, reliability, and operating economy.
• Support energy conservation initiatives designed to reduce electricity consumption and engineering operating costs.
• Respond to HVAC faults affecting guestrooms, public areas, operational spaces, and hotel facilities.
• Maintain plant rooms, workshops, tools, and associated engineering areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow relevant hotel engineering procedures, safety requirements, and operational standards.
• Work assigned shifts, weekends, and on-call schedules when operational coverage requires additional support.

Ideal Profile
