Overview

HVAC Technician - Facility Maintenance in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a Facilities Services opportunity for a skilled technician who can install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and cooling systems across property operations. The role is suited for a hands‑on HVAC professional with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, safety, and preventive maintenance requirements in residential and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, repair, and service HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation equipment, cooling systems, and related controls.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions involving electrical faults, mechanical issues, refrigerant problems, airflow concerns, and control system failures.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to improve system efficiency, extend equipment life, and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
  • Clean and service air filters, coils, ducts, vents, and other components to support proper air quality and system performance.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, and testing instruments to identify system problems accurately.
  • Read and interpret HVAC blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation during repair or installation work.
  • Handle refrigerants, chemicals, and hazardous materials in line with legal, safety, and environmental protection standards.
  • Ensure HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance work comply with safety regulations, building codes, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, equipment checks, spare parts, and inventory usage.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to resolve facility issues that affect HVAC performance or occupant comfort.
  • Provide practical recommendations for system upgrades, replacements, energy‑saving improvements, and reliability enhancements.
  • Support energy‑efficient operation of HVAC systems, including awareness of controls, EMS, and BAS where applicable.
  • Follow all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment requirements during daily work.
  • Stay informed about QHSE policy, objectives, targets, safety instructions, and operating procedures.
  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, observations, equipment risks, and incidents immediately to the line manager.
  • Maintain tools, work areas, materials, and equipment in a safe, organized, and professional condition.
Ideal Profile
  • Certification in HVAC Technology or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
  • 3-4 years of hands‑on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Experience working on both residential and commercial HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC components such as compressors, heat exchangers, ductwork, thermostats, refrigerants, fans, coils, and controls.
  • Practical ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, airflow, and control‑related issues.
  • Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools including gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, and related testing equipment.
  • Able to read HVAC drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
