HUC Planning and Delivery
- Review, define, and develop the project Hook Up and Commissioning scope and associated deliverables.
- Develop HUC execution plans and detailed schedules covering assigned offshore activities.
- Manage the assigned HUC team and ensure planned work is delivered in accordance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to maintain alignment across execution strategies and interfaces.
- Lead constructability reviews and ensure identified actions are agreed and closed using safe and cost-effective solutions.
- Manage the project readiness process and ensure readiness requirements are completed, reported, and agreed before mobilization.
- Ensure detailed work scopes are prepared, scheduled, and supported by appropriate manpower.
- Manage multiple offshore campaigns while coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
Marine and Offshore Operations
- Manage marine spread requirements, including jack-up barges, workboats, and supply boats.
- Coordinate offshore resources to support scheduled HUC activities.
- Monitor daily progress throughout execution campaigns.
- Lead daily offshore coordination calls and address issues affecting execution.
- Maintain a strong focus on personnel safety throughout offshore operations.
- Mobilize offshore when required to provide visible leadership and direct operational support.
Commercial and Cost Control
- Control and manage the assigned HUC budget.
- Monitor expenditure and report performance against budget and Estimate at Completion requirements.
- Maintain awareness of cost implications arising from execution decisions and changing project conditions.
- Identify areas requiring mitigation where cost or progress deviates from the project plan.
- Ensure execution strategies consider both operational requirements and commercial impact.
Client and Stakeholder Coordination
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the client.
- Conduct project meetings with client representatives.
- Establish alignment on execution strategies, deliverables, schedules, and project priorities.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders throughout HUC planning and execution.
- Define critical subcontractor and vendor requirements in advance and ensure responsibilities are appropriately assigned.
- Manage competing project priorities while maintaining clear communication across multiple interfaces.
Risk, Safety and Readiness
- Conduct HAZID and SIMOPS workshops applicable to project execution.
- Identify and manage business and operational risks.
- Identify opportunities that can improve project execution.
- Ensure offshore activities are appropriately planned before mobilization.
- Maintain safe working practices throughout Hook Up and Commissioning operations.
- Provide leadership during offshore execution to reinforce project safety and operational expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor 's Degree in Engineering.
- 15 years of experience in offshore oil and gas.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar HUC management role.
- Strong experience managing Hook Up and Commissioning scopes for offshore projects.
- Ability to manage HUC engineering teams, offshore campaigns, and multidisciplinary project interfaces.
- Experience planning and managing offshore marine spreads, including jack-up barges, workboats, and supply boats.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, monitor cost, and report Estimate at Completion performance.
- Experience with constructability reviews, project readiness activities, HAZID, and SIMOPS workshops.
- Ability to manage operational risks and establish appropriate mitigation measures.
- Strong client and stakeholder management capability.
- Ability to manage multiple work scopes and offshore campaigns simultaneously.
- Willingness to mobilize offshore as required to provide direct leadership during execution.
