Job summary

Hydrosen Building Contracting LLC is seeking a highly experienced HSE professional to lead safety on a large-scale Solar PV project in Abu Dhabi. You will develop, implement, and maintain the HSE plan, lead audits, risk assessments, and training while ensuring UAE regulations and client standards are met.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or HSE, 8+ years of construction or renewable energy HSE experience, an UAE driving license, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of HSE experience in construction or renewable energy projects.
• ISO 14001 certification.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Available to join within 1 month.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, HSE, Occupational Health Safety or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, international HSE standards and construction safety requirements.
• Good command of English both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project HSE Plan, procedures, and risk control measures.
• Lead and manage all HSE activities for the Solar PV construction site, ensuring UAE regulations, client EPC requirements and project HSE standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, HSE audits, risk assessments and safety observations.
• Review and approve Method Statements and Risk Assessments from an HSE perspective.
• Monitor high-risk activities including lifting, working at height, electrical works, excavation, hot work and heavy equipment operations.
• Manage Permit to Work (PTW) systems and ensure proper implementation.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety training, inductions and emergency drills.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and ensure project requirements are met.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports and statistics.
• Coordinate with Client, Consultant, EPC Contractor and subcontractors on HSE matters.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Ensure proper HSE documentation, records and project handover requirements are maintained.
