Job summary

Thehseleader in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced HSE Lead to align HSSE goals with project objectives and regulatory requirements across power/desalination initiatives. You will drive compliance, risk mitigation, and a strong safety culture on site.

You will lead investigations, develop training programs, and collaborate with authorities to ensure environmental and safety standards are met, with robust emergency planning and regular audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or Occupational Health & Safety is required.
• NEBOSH International Diploma and/or recognized certification preferred.
• GCC experience is required.
• PV project experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment of HSSE goals with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure project adherence to all safety and environmental requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are applied to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement HSE training programs for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and awareness throughout the project. Establish emergency response plans and procedures for potential incidents.
• Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency response measures. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
