First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an HR leadership professional to partner with senior roles, understand HR requirements, and deliver timely HR support aligned with group objectives.

The role focuses on strategic contribution, people management, and advisory activities to drive talent development, performance, and organisational effectiveness within the banking sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline.
• 6 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 2 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in a similar HR consultancy function.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Contribution: cascade the functional strategy into department business plans for alignment.
• People Management: lead department staff, set objectives, manage performance, develop and motivate team.
• Lead talent development initiatives with technical experts to ensure availability of talent for business needs.
• Advisory & Coaching: partner with designated roles to diagnose and implement HR strategies and people plans.
• Collaboration: engage with HR product partners to improve people performance and business capability.
• Organisational Restructuring: guide scoping and implementation of restructures in line with strategic direction.
• Talent Development and Retention: develop action plans for succession and development of high potential Emiratis.
• Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures: implement departmental policies and controls in line with requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities for productivity and cost reduction.
• Reporting: ensure timely and accurate department reports.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline
