First Abu Dhabi Bank FAB is seeking an HR leader to partner with senior colleagues to shape people plans aligned with the Group's strategic objectives. You will guide department strategy, drive talent development and ensure governance across policies and compliance.

The role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, change management, and delivering cost-effective HR solutions while maintaining UAE banking standards and a strong people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline.
• 6 years relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 2 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in a similar HR consultancy function

Responsibilities

• Strategic Contribution: Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into department business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies
• People Management: Lead the department, set objectives, manage performance, develop and motivate staff to maximise sectional performance; lead talent development initiatives; act as a role model and drive ethical culture
• Budgeting and Financial Planning: If required, manage the preparation and monitoring of the department budget and financial performance
• Advisory & Coaching: Develop strong partnering relationships with n-2 and n-3 roles; diagnose, develop and implement effective HR strategies and people plans; advise and support employees on HR practices
• Collaboration: Engage with HR product partners to develop value propositions and products to improve people performance and business capability
• Organisational Restructuring: Influence scoping and implementation of restructures to align with strategic direction
• Talent Development and Retention: Manage succession, retention and development plans for high potential Emiratis
• Policies Systems Processes & Procedures: Implement and enforce department policies and controls; ensure compliance with legal requirements
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system/process improvements and cost reductions
• Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate department reports meeting Group requirements
• Conflict of Interest: Support adherence to FAB Code of Conduct and related policies; advise on conflicts management
• Frameworks Boundaries & Decision Making Authority: Operate within Group policies and governance frameworks; authorized per the approval matrix
