Job summary

Grand Mercure Dubai City is seeking a Sales & Marketing professional to lead travel trade accounts and drive hotel exposure in Dubai. Under the supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will implement sales activities, maintain travel trade customers, and develop a robust sales plan to achieve targets.

A Bachelor’s degree and at least three years in hospitality sales are preferred; excellent communication and contract language skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in similar role in hospitality industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of legal contract language.
• Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values.

Responsibilities

• Implements all sales activities and maximizes business opportunities in own area of responsibility.
• Generates and maintains customers of travel trade segment through various sales activities (face to face sales calls, telephone calls, entertainment).
• Maintains a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales, telephone, fax, and written communications.
• Ensures comprehensive and complete coverage of own portfolio covering all departments and accounts’ management for a comprehensive client servicing, achieving targets and maximum productivity.
• Submit weekly sales activity report to the Director of Sales & Marketing on the leisure segment.
• Develops Prospects Accounts, and implement a Sales Action Plan for each account.
• Implements and executes all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed targets set.
• Keeps updated with client relationships and overall business goals.
• Updates the Director of Sales & Marketing on the negotiation event / progress of each group.
