Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior GenAI Sales Specialist to drive adoption and revenue growth of GenAI services across Sub-Saharan Africa. You will identify high-value opportunities, engage with customers to understand needs, and align them with AWS Generative AI solutions.

You will work with data science and IT stakeholders, articulate AWS GenAI strategy, and guide customers through AI adoption journeys while collaborating with solution architects for implementation.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in technology sales or business development focusing on enterprise/cloud services.
• Experience working with Data Scientists, Developers and ML professionals.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in enterprise software or cloud services.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies including Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts.
• Experience in consultative selling and solution-based approaches to enterprise and mid-market customers on Generative AI.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle specialist sales engagement plan for GenAI from identifying qualified leads to realizing revenue across Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and contribute to demonstrations and solution design including model selection and deployment approaches.
• Provide guidance on model evaluation, responsible AI practices, governance considerations, and relevant compliance requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and executive stakeholders through a consultative approach.
• Share customer insights with AWS AI product teams to inform product direction and improvements.
• Accelerate customer adoption by defining and implementing GTM strategies within assigned accounts leveraging AWS sales and partner ecosystem.
